  • Russell Coleman S.C., Hong Kong

    Mr Russell Coleman SC was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple in 1986 of which Inn he is now a Bencher. He moved to live and work in Hong Kong in 1990, and was admitted to full practice at the Hong Kong Bar in 1991.

    Mr Coleman practises from Temple Chambers, and enjoys a broad practice in civil and commercial law. He took ‘Silk’ in 2006.

    Mr Coleman is a Chartered Arbitrator, has published various articles and edited texts on arbitration, and is frequently appointed as arbitrator, in domestic and international arbitrations. A past President of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators, he is a Council Member of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC).

    In addition to sitting as arbitrator, Mr Coleman sits as a Deputy High Court Judge. He is also a CEDR Accredited Mediator.

    Mr Coleman was the Chairman of the Bar Council of the Hong Kong Bar Association in 2009 and 2010.

    He is the Chairman of the Hong Kong Advocacy Training Council.
